What they ask for
Required
- 10+ years in sustainability, supply chain, environmental strategy, manufacturing, or related field
- Significant hardware or consumer electronics product experience
- Experience defining and executing enterprise sustainability strategy with product and technical teams
- Understanding of product lifecycle impact, manufacturing, contract manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, materials, packaging, and end of life
- Experience with carbon accounting, emissions reduction, lifecycle assessment, and supplier sustainability
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and regulations like GHG Protocol, EPR, WEEE, RoHS, REACH, ISO 14001, SA8000, EcoVadis
- Ability to evaluate tradeoffs across cost, quality, schedule, resilience, customer experience, brand, and environmental impact
- Strong executive communication and ability to make complex topics clear
- Experience building new functions, operating models, or cross-functional programs
- Experience hiring, developing, and leading people
- Practical and evidence-based approach to sustainability
- Willingness to travel internationally 25–30% as needed
Nice to have
- Experience shaping product strategy and adding sustainability to product development and design reviews
- Experience with repairability, circularity, e-waste, recycled materials, packaging, freight emissions, or renewable energy
- Experience responding to retailer, customer, investor, or regulatory sustainability requests
- Experience building sustainability data models, dashboards, or reporting controls
- Graduate degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, supply chain, or related field
