- 5+ years of professional design and/or hands-on manufacturing experience
- Experience in a startup or highly dynamic engineering environment
Nice to have
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or comparable engineering discipline
- Experience with contract manufacturers
- Proper application of GD&T
- CAD experience with SolidWorks
- Finite element analysis (FEA) experience
- Thermal analysis experience (COMSOL)
- Steel and aluminum weldment design and analysis
- High-temperature system design and analysis up to 1500°C
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) and hands-on fabrication experience
- Experience with fabrication methods and tools (welder, router, mill, lathe, hand tools)
- Data acquisition and instrumentation experience
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects
