What this role is
This role owns network infrastructure across Render's platform, focusing on scaling edge/ingress networking and Kubernetes components to support the rapid growth of a cloud platform trusted by millions of developers. You'll investigate complex networking issues, design customer-facing networking capabilities, and drive performance improvements across multiple data centers.

What they ask for
Required
- 6+ years building and operating large-scale networking or infrastructure systems
- Kubernetes networking internals experience (kube-proxy, CNI plugins, service routing, or similar container networking)
- Linux networking internals in production (routing, netfilter/iptables/nftables, conntrack)
- Experience building and operating traffic routing systems at scale (load balancers, ingress, proxies)
- Strong experience designing, debugging, and operating distributed systems
- Experience planning and executing high-risk changes with minimal downtime
Nice to have
- eBPF or advanced Linux kernel networking experience
- Systems development in Go or similar languages that interact with low-level OS and networking primitives
