What this role is

GHX is hiring a Software Engineer III to build developer-facing platform tools and AI capabilities that enable their healthcare engineering teams. Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
  • 3-5 years of software development experience
  • Built internal tooling for engineers and measured its adoption
  • Daily use of agentic coding tools
  • Authored reusable GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD consumed by others
  • Direct experience writing Infrastructure as Code
  • Technical writing such as design documents, ADRs, or runbooks
  • Ability to teach live and unscripted, including remote sessions and in-person workshops
  • Willing and able to travel as needed
  • Work independently and collaboratively on multiple overlapping projects

Nice to have

  • Measured a non-deterministic system with eval harnesses, benchmarks, or rubrics
  • Built and operated MCP servers with remote/HTTP transports and authentication
  • Comfortable deploying and debugging on AWS
  • Created agent configuration artifacts used by other engineers
  • Experience with local or open-weight inference and quantization tradeoffs
  • Measured developer outcomes using adoption instrumentation and DORA-style metrics
  • Healthcare supply chain or EDI standards experience
