Required
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Strong portfolio of production-quality interactive data visualizations
- Ability to translate design concepts into responsive, accessible, high-performing front-end experiences
- Editorial and storytelling instincts for communicating complex data visually
- Collaboration and communication skills with designers, analysts, and leadership
- Foundation in design principles including grid systems, typography, and layout
- Expert proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with D3, Canvas, or similar data visualization libraries
- Proficiency in R or Python or similar analytical programming language
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Svelte
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Ability to leverage AI tools while managing AI risks responsibly
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Digital Media, Data Visualization, Journalism, Information Design, or related field
- Experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS
- Exposure to WebGL or creative coding frameworks like P5.js or Three.js
- Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender
- Motion graphics or video editing capabilities
- Advanced training or certifications in data visualization, front-end development, UX design, analytics, or emerging technologies
