What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field
- 5+ years post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering or data infrastructure engineering
- Proficiency in Python and at least one systems-level language
- Deep experience designing and building data platforms including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming systems
- Understanding of distributed computing principles
- Advanced SQL skills for data modeling and query optimization
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD and containerization
- Ability to drive projects from conception to production with minimal supervision
- On-site work in Sunnyvale, CA or San Francisco
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform data services
- Experience with Apache Beam
- Background in building infrastructure for AI/ML workloads or cloud computing platforms
- Experience on a growing or early-stage data team
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures
