What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical environment
- Production-quality Python code with Pandas, NumPy, vectorization, and parallelization
- Strong foundation in operations research techniques including linear, nonlinear, and integer programming
- Experience building optimization models using Python libraries like PuLP, Pyomo, or OR-Tools
- Understanding of predictive modeling and forecasting methods and their Python implementation
- Knowledge of statistical concepts including regression and hypothesis testing
- SQL querying and exploratory data analysis
- Clear communication with users and stakeholders on modeling choices and results
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and ownership mindset
- Authorized to work in the US
- Pass criminal background check
Nice to have
- Master's degree or higher in a related field
- Exposure to airline economics problems such as route planning and revenue management
- Experience with commercial solvers like Gurobi, CPLEX, or FICO Xpress
- Familiarity with cloud services and version control systems like AWS and GitHub
- Front-end development experience in JavaScript and Excel VBA
- Fluency with generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
