What this role is

This role leads the design and optimization of a centralized, cloud-native data lakehouse that consolidates security telemetry across the enterprise. You'll architect storage, compute, and governance layers to enable threat hunters and security teams to operate at scale, acting as the subject matter expert for data platform infrastructure and modern table formats.

What they ask for

Required

  • 7+ years in data platform engineering, cloud infrastructure engineering, or data architecture supporting large-scale enterprise data lakes
  • 3+ years operating Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake in production
  • 3+ years production-level experience with AWS EMR, AWS Athena, S3, and AWS Lake Formation
  • 3+ years using Terraform or AWS CDK for multi-environment data infrastructure provisioning
  • 3+ years with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS Redshift)
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with performance tuning and query optimization
  • Python or Bash for infrastructure automation

Nice to have

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Data Engineer
  • Experience setting up multi-region data lakes, cross-account data sharing, or data mesh architectures
  • Experience with open-source query engines like Trino or StarRocks
