What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems option
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) actively pursuing PE registration
- Working knowledge of AC three-phase systems, protective relaying, and metering
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer's drawings and technical documentation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work outdoors at substations and power line rights-of-way in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time
- U.S. citizenship
Nice to have
- Electric utility industry experience
- Experience in power systems, electric machinery, protective relaying, metering, control systems, telecommunications, or electronics
- Knowledge of engineering economics
- Familiarity with computer-aided design tools and adaptability to computer methods
- Experience with equipment life cycle cost analysis
