What they ask for
Required
- 7+ years of applied AI experience with models in production
- Experience with LLM or agentic evaluations and guardrailing
- Expertise training classifier models including encoder architectures and LLM-as-classifier approaches
- Hands-on dataset development: sourcing, labeling, synthetic generation, adversarial augmentation
- Applied experience with LLMs and agentic systems
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, Hugging Face
- Comfortable working in production environments with backend and platform engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in Palo Alto office 2-3 days per week
Nice to have
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field
- Published research at top ML or NLP venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP)
- Experience with RLHF, RLAIF, or preference-based fine-tuning
- Experience with large-scale synthetic data generation pipelines
- Background in AI safety, red-teaming, or adversarial ML
- Experience with enterprise customers in regulated industries
