What this role is
This role builds and leads Anthropic's compute infrastructure procurement function, overseeing billions in capital spending on hardware, entities, and data center operations while establishing supplier strategy, asset lifecycle management, and lease administration across domestic and international sites. It suits experienced procurement leaders who have managed large capital portfolios, navigated complex supply chains, and built teams in fast-growing, regulated environments.

What they ask for
Required
- Deep knowledge of compute infrastructure components (servers, GPUs, networking, storage, racks, power, cooling)
- Experience managing multi-billion-dollar capital-intensive procurement portfolios with negotiation and vendor consolidation
- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes, purchase order governance, and asset lifecycle management
- Experience in SOX-compliant environments with knowledge of ITGCs, ICFR, and financial controls
- Experience with international procurement operations including entity structuring, customs, export controls, and cross-border logistics
- Proven track record of process improvement, systems implementation, and workflow automation in high-growth environments
Nice to have
- 12+ years procurement experience with minimum 5 years in compute infrastructure or hyperscale supply chain
- 8+ years people management with demonstrated ability to build and scale teams
- Experience at hyperscale infrastructure companies (CoreWeave, Equinix, AWS, GCP, Azure, NVIDIA) or frontier AI/ML companies
- Direct experience standing up procurement entities for tax optimization
- Experience implementing asset lifecycle management or ERP systems in infrastructure contexts
- Background in supply chain for semiconductor, networking, or high-performance computing
- Experience with Zip or Workday platforms
- Experience using AI tools including Claude for procurement workflow automation
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering
