Required
- 1+ year fiber or telecom industry experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid, unencumbered driver's license
- Reside within 30 minutes of assigned reporting location
- Safe driving record
- Ability to climb utility poles and work at heights
- Ability to lift 50 lbs over 50 feet
- Network cabling proficiency
- Basic electrical systems knowledge
- Grounding and bonding (ANSI/EIA/TIA-607) proficiency
- Advanced GPON and fiber equipment experience
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of voice services (SIP)
- Working knowledge of video services
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN service and hardware
- Experience maintaining power equipment (rectifiers, batteries, generators)
- Ability to read and understand cross-connects for fiber LCC cabinets and splitters
- Ability to mentor junior technicians
