What this role is
This role maintains and repairs light construction equipment for The Home Depot's rental fleet across multiple store locations and customer job sites. Required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Legally permitted to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- Meet DOT medical certification requirements
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
- Able to perform physical demands: lifting, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling underneath equipment, climbing, reaching, repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements, occasional work at heights
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
- 3 years of work experience
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to negotiate and resolve disputes with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1 or more years of experience servicing construction equipment
- Knowledge of small engines and hydraulics
- Ability to read technical repair and parts manuals
- Experience providing superior customer service
- Familiarity with inventory management
- Working knowledge of handheld technology
- Ability to work effectively with different personality types
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate in extreme outdoor conditions
- Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances
