What they ask for
Required
- Experience in legal operations, business/operations management, or paralegal role in in-house legal department
- Direct front-line experience handling law enforcement or government requests for user data including subpoenas, court orders, warrants, preservation letters, and emergency disclosure requests
- Working knowledge of legal framework for law enforcement access to user data including the Stored Communications Act and mechanics of foreign and cross-border requests such as MLATs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive legal matters
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
- Experience owning an intake, queue, or docketing process end-to-end
- Comfort operating and improving legal process tooling (trackers, spreadsheets, forms, aliases, automations)
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and implementing process improvements
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations, business/operations management, or paralegal role in in-house legal department
- 2+ years of experience at a high-growth technology company
- Experience building or scaling a law enforcement response process
- Experience managing legal intake process within a growing company
- Ability to think critically and creatively, adapting to new challenges and finding practical solutions to complex legal issues
- Familiarity with legal project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Jira
