What they ask for
Required
- 5+ years DevOps, SRE, or network engineering experience in production environments
- AWS experience including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, Route 53, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch
- Experience with at least one additional cloud provider (DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner, or Linode)
- Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management
- Docker and container orchestration or fleet management across multiple providers
- Linux system administration including iptables/nftables, routing, NAT, DNS, and TLS/certificates
- VPN or proxy infrastructure operations at scale in production
- Observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or log aggregation
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Scripting and automation in Python, Go, or Bash
- DNS, CDN, and edge infrastructure management
- Security fundamentals including secrets management and encryption
- Daily use of agentic AI tools for infrastructure code and automation
- Production on-call support and incident response ownership
- Strong communication and independent problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Censorship-circumvention technology experience (Shadowsocks, V2Ray, obfs4, domain fronting)
- Userspace network stacks or Go-based networking tooling
- Experience integrating infrastructure from acquisitions
- Kubernetes or Nomad orchestration
- Packer for image building
- Self-managed databases and disaster recovery design
- Cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices
- SOC 2, GDPR, or CCPA compliance program experience
- Mobile app release pipeline familiarity (Fastlane, Bitrise)
