What they ask for

Required

  • 8+ years firmware engineering with deep BMC experience
  • Production BMC stack expertise (OpenBMC, AMI MegaRAC, or equivalent)
  • Led BMC bring-up on new server platforms from schematics and hardware docs
  • Strong C/C++ on embedded Linux
  • Proficient in Python or shell for automation
  • Deep knowledge of IPMI 2.0, Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and NC-SI protocols
  • Hands-on debugging of BMC-to-host interfaces (eSPI, LPC, IPMB, KCS, BT)
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

Nice to have

  • Worked with ODM/OEM partners on BMC firmware or led such engagements
  • Familiarity with Yocto or BitBake build systems
  • Shipped BMC firmware running in production fleet with real debugging experience
  • BMC security work including secure boot, root of trust, DICE, SPDM, attestation, or firmware CVE response
  • Knowledge of DC-MHS, DC-SCM, and OCP hardware management direction
  • Track record growing a firmware engineering team
  • Active OpenBMC contributor or maintainer
  • GPU server platform experience (HGX-class, NVLink/PCIe debugging)
  • Host firmware background (UEFI/BIOS, coreboot) or CPLD/retimer experience
