What they ask for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, or Materials Science
  • 15+ years of materials and process engineering experience
  • Knowledge of NASA standards and material data requirements for spaceflight
  • Direct experience with metallurgy including heat treatment, corrosion control, additive manufacturing, welding, and failure analysis
  • Knowledge of aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, stainless steels, and nickel-based alloys
  • Familiarity with contamination control requirements and verification methods for space hardware
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
  • Ability to pass U.S. government background investigation
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet project milestones

  • Experience with additive manufacturing development and qualification
