Astranis is seeking an engineer to develop and execute environmental testing procedures for satellite components and systems, ensuring hardware meets rigorous quality standards. This role involves designing test setups, managing test campaigns across multiple engineering disciplines, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to qualify flight hardware from design through launch.

What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
- 2+ years experience testing electronics, electro-mechanical assemblies, or integrated systems
- Experience with one or more environmental testing types (thermal, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, acoustic, EMI/EMC)
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures from engineering requirements
- Manage competing priorities in cross-functional environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Onsite 5 days per week
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status
Nice to have
- Operating and maintaining thermal chambers, TVAC chambers, or vibration shakers
- Data acquisition systems and instrumentation experience
- Space flight components and spacecraft environmental testing experience
- Designing and building electrical harnesses and connectors
- Operating cranes, man lifts, forklifts, and handling equipment
- Experience in fast-paced iterative design environments in aerospace, medical, automotive, marine, or consumer electronics
- Problem-solving orientation and autonomy
