Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical field
  • 4-5+ years cloud engineering, platform operations, SRE, FinOps engineering, or cloud operations experience
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost drivers across compute, storage, databases, and networking
  • Hands-on Python development experience
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, databases, and Step Functions
  • Experience with CloudFormation
  • Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with cost modeling and analysis
  • Data visualization tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight)
  • Working knowledge of GitHub and version control
  • Understanding of tagging strategies and cost allocation
  • Ability to independently scope and deliver moderately complex technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Analyst certification
  • Experience with cloud billing tools (AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, Billing Conductor, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing exports, or Apptio Cloudability/Flexera/Finout)
  • Python and React experience for internal tools or dashboards
  • Understanding of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and commitment strategies
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with Auto Remediation Frameworks
