What they ask for
Required
- 10+ years in US public health, health policy, or public sector health innovation
- 5+ years managing external partnerships or multi-stakeholder government/civil society initiatives
- Deep relationships and credibility across CDC, state health departments, major schools of public health, and health funders
- Understanding of federal, state, and local public health agency operations, funding, and technology adoption
- Technical fluency with AI concepts, LLM capabilities and limitations, and ability to partner with technical teams
- Experience building programs in early-stage environments without established playbooks
- High agency and comfort with ambiguity
- Genuine commitment to strengthening the public health system
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice to have
- MPH or related credential
- Experience inside federal or state health agency (CDC, HHS, state DOH) or close partner organization
- Background in epidemiology with hands-on surveillance experience at state, local, or federal level
- Global health experience
- Healthtech, AI company, or product-adjacent role experience
