What they ask for
Required
- Deep hands-on experience building against and migrating payment processors
- Direct experience migrating payments to or from Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Square, or Adyen
- Understanding of multi-entity payment structures, reconciliation, and payment token migration
- Operational knowledge of refunds, chargebacks, deposit reconciliation, and cash flow implications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience including meaningful time in a forward-deployed or solutions engineering role
- Ability to own technical relationships end-to-end with customers and partners, including difficult conversations
- Strong communication skills explaining migration risk and tradeoffs to technical and business audiences
- Willingness to travel to customer and partner sites
Nice to have
- Experience building payment integrations from the platform or payment service provider side
- Familiarity with PCI compliance and tokenization standards including network tokens
- Prior work on payments for multi-sided marketplaces or embedded finance products
