  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 5+ years of professional software development experience, OR MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Production-level code writing in multiple languages without review
  • Lead software development teams through full software development lifecycle
  • Academic background or foundational training in physics
  • Deep expertise developing software in Linux environments
  • Independent track record architecting and integrating large-scale software solutions
  • Advanced modern software development practices including version control and debugging tools
  • Exceptional teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
  • U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual)

Nice to have

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
  • Experience developing software for geospatial data processing or remote sensing systems
  • Experience designing complex database architectures for geospatial or large-scale datasets
  • Experience architecting highly scalable systems including distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience building geospatial services and APIs with standards like WMS/WFS
  • Experience developing or integrating agentic AI frameworks for geospatial workflows
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Extensive containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience deploying applications in cloud environments like AWS
  • Familiarity with geospatial analysis and visualization tools like QGIS
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
