What they ask for

Required

  • Greater than 4 years of experience in knowledge engineering or ontology development
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining domain ontologies in Protégé or equivalent with reasoner validation
  • Experience with ROBOT or ODK for ontology lifecycle management
  • Expertise in SPARQL and/or Cypher for querying ontology-aligned data
  • Ability to interpret data profiling output and translate to formal ontological claims
  • Experience directing or evaluating LLM-assisted knowledge extraction pipelines
  • Proficiency in Python or similar for ontology tooling and pipeline scripting
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams integrating formal and domain knowledge

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Philosophy, Information Science, or related hard science
  • Familiarity with category theory as applied to data integration
  • Experience with LinkML
  • Healthcare supply chain domain knowledge
  • Experience with BFO 2.0 and OBO Foundry principles
  • Familiarity with provenance models and their implementation
  • Experience with production-scale graph database platforms
  • Passion for staying current with knowledge representation and AI-assisted ontology engineering
