- Deep expertise in Python including static typing and safe async/concurrency patterns
- Track record designing intuitive, safe APIs or frameworks adopted by other engineers or teams
- Experience working productively in large, evolving, or research-style codebases you did not originally write
- Ability to anticipate and prevent failure modes, especially silent ones, through system design and testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
