What they ask for

Required

  • 10+ years designing building mechanical systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes including IMC, IPC, IECC, IBC, NFPA 13, and ASME B31
  • Strong knowledge of chilled-water systems, air-cooled cooling plants, and liquid cooling architectures
  • Experience with prefabricated and modular mechanical infrastructure
  • Experience reviewing mechanical design work from external engineering consultants
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to data center sites
  • Clear communication and ability to drive technical decisions across teams

Nice to have

  • 15+ years of data center mechanical design experience
  • Direct project experience delivering data centers in multiple U.S. markets
  • Experience with thermal-hydraulic modeling software or CFD modeling
  • Familiarity with controls and BAS systems for cooling plants
  • Experience preparing SOWs, facility audits, and TCO analyses
  • Track record building modular prefabricated products and driving designs for offsite manufacturing
  • Proficiency with Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
