What they ask for
Required
- 10+ years designing building mechanical systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities
- Deep knowledge of U.S. mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes including IMC, IPC, IECC, IBC, NFPA 13, and ASME B31
- Strong knowledge of chilled-water systems, air-cooled cooling plants, and liquid cooling architectures
- Experience with prefabricated and modular mechanical infrastructure
- Experience reviewing mechanical design work from external engineering consultants
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to travel up to 30% to data center sites
- Clear communication and ability to drive technical decisions across teams
Nice to have
- 15+ years of data center mechanical design experience
- Direct project experience delivering data centers in multiple U.S. markets
- Experience with thermal-hydraulic modeling software or CFD modeling
- Familiarity with controls and BAS systems for cooling plants
- Experience preparing SOWs, facility audits, and TCO analyses
- Track record building modular prefabricated products and driving designs for offsite manufacturing
- Proficiency with Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
