What they ask for
Required
- PhD in Economics or near completion
- Background in macroeconomics, growth theory, or public finance
- Research record treating transformative AI scenarios as serious modeling questions
- Proficiency in Python, Julia, or similar for computational economics
- Ability to lead research projects from conception to publication
Nice to have
- Experience with macroeconomic modeling and structural estimation
- Experience with scenario-based and time-series forecasting
- Knowledge of task-based approaches to technological change
- Experience with agent-based modeling or large-scale simulation
- Background in income distribution and inequality
- Prior use of large language models in research
- Facility with AI coding agents in research workflow
