What they ask for
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer
- First Aid and Red Cross Lifeguard training
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification within six months of employment
- Experience in at least one aquatic specialty area such as competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, or small craft
Nice to have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, or related field
- Water Safety Instructor certification or willingness to obtain within one year
- Prior instructor experience
