12+ years building and owning data platform architecture
Evidence of setting technical direction without direct authority
Deep GCP and BigQuery expertise
Operational fluency in AWS and EKS
Experience with dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Databricks, and Spark at platform scale
Event streaming in production at scale including schema registry and data contracts
Data governance and compliance in regulated environments including HIPAA and PHI handling
Infrastructure as code with Terraform or equivalent
Strong Python and SQL for production pipeline code
Technical writing that creates organizational alignment

Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake in production at scale
CDC patterns and Flink for real-time processing across analytics and production
PySpark and SparkSQL for large-scale workloads
BigQuery to Databricks migration or equivalent warehouse migration led end-to-end
MLOps partnership and feature store experience
Go or Python service development for Kafka producers and consumers
Direct-to-consumer healthcare or telehealth experience with HIPAA and GDPR
SOX compliance controls in a data engineering context
