What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable field
- 5+ years in satellite communications, ground systems, RF engineering, or related discipline
- Understanding of RF fundamentals including link budgets, antennas, amplifiers, and modulation techniques
- Experience with RF electronics and communication systems hardware
- Experience with antenna design and operations including calibration and diagnostics
- Experience using spectrum analyzer and signal generator for RF troubleshooting
- Experience supporting technical proposals, bids, or customer solution development
- Ability to develop technical documentation and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
- Willing and able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance
- Strong project management skills with sense of urgency
- Willing to travel 20% of the time
- Able to perform physical functions including lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying
Nice to have
- FPGA-based signal processing platforms
- GNU Radio, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or SDR development experience
- Advanced SATCOM technologies including phased arrays and digital payloads
- Commercial and government proposal experience
- Antenna control units and tracking systems
- Spectrum management knowledge
- Networking familiarity (Ethernet, IP, TCP)
- Python scripting
- Digital Signal Processing background in modem design, waveform development, channelization, or beamforming
