Parachuting

Parachuting, also known as skydiving, is the activity of jumping from an aircraft at altitude and descending to the ground using a parachute to slow the fall, often preceded by a period of freefall before the main canopy is deployed. Enthusiasts pursue it recreationally for the adrenaline rush and sense of freedom, and competitively in disciplines such as formation skydiving, canopy piloting, and accuracy landing. It requires specialized training and certification, typically starting with tandem jumps before progressing to solo licensed jumps.
