Last Man Stands Cricket

Last Man Stands (LMS) is a fast-paced, amateur-friendly variant of cricket played with eight-a-side teams over a shorter format (often 20 overs), designed to be quicker and more social than traditional cricket. Its signature rule is that when the second-to-last batter is out, the last remaining batter continues alone, batting with a runner, so an entire team's innings isn't cut short by early wickets. It's popular in corporate and social cricket leagues worldwide as a way to guarantee full matches and encourage participation regardless of skill level.
