Electric Unicycle Race

An electric unicycle race pits riders of self-balancing, motorized single-wheel electric unicycles (EUCs) against each other over a set course, testing balance, acceleration, and cornering skill on a device controlled by leaning and a gyroscopic self-balancing system. The EUC hobbyist community, which grew rapidly in the 2010s-2020s, organizes informal meetups and races as well as speed record attempts. Riders must master balance since the device has no handlebars or seat for stability.
