Deep-Water Soloing
Deep-water soloing (also called psicobloc) is a form of free solo rock climbing performed on cliffs or rock faces over deep water, without ropes, harnesses, or other protective equipment, relying on the water below to break a fall. It is practiced on coastal cliffs and sea cliffs in locations like Mallorca, Thailand, and Vietnam. Climbers are drawn to the freedom of climbing unencumbered by gear combined with the safety net (relatively speaking) that deep water provides.
