Canopy Piloting

Canopy piloting is a skydiving discipline in which parachutists perform high-speed, low-altitude maneuvers under a small, highly loaded parachute, executing turns before landing to build speed for competitive tasks such as distance skimming across a water pond, precision landing, or top speed runs. It is considered one of the most technically demanding and dangerous branches of skydiving due to the low margin for error near the ground. Competitions are held internationally, including world championship events under skydiving's governing federation.
