Structural Equation Modeling

Data Science, Analytics and AI/ML

Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a statistical technique used to test and estimate complex relationships between observed and latent (unmeasured) variables, combining factor analysis and multiple regression. It is widely used in social science, psychology, marketing, and education research to model theoretical constructs like satisfaction or intelligence and their causal pathways. Researchers use software such as AMOS, Mplus, or R's lavaan package to build and evaluate SEM models.
