Sponsorship

Marketing and Social Media

Sponsorship in a business or event context refers to financial or in-kind support provided by a company or individual in exchange for brand visibility, marketing rights, or association with an event, team, individual, or organization, such as corporate sponsorship of sports teams, conferences, or media content. In a career or mentorship context, sponsorship can also mean a senior leader actively advocating for a less-experienced colleague's advancement, distinct from mentoring. Marketing, partnerships, and events professionals typically manage sponsorship deals and relationships.
