Run Chart

Data Science, Analytics and AI/ML

A run chart (or run-sequence plot) is a line graph that displays data points in the order they occurred over time, used to detect trends, shifts, or patterns in a process. It is a common tool in quality control and process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean methodologies), helping analysts and process owners spot non-random variation before applying more formal statistical process control methods. Unlike control charts, it typically does not include statistically calculated control limits.
