Pig Latin

Languages

Pig Latin is a playful language game where English words are altered by moving the initial consonant sound to the end and adding "ay," or adding "way" to words starting with a vowel—for example, "pig" becomes "igpay." It's used informally as a fun code among children and hobbyists rather than for serious communication. The term is also used in computing for Apache Pig's scripting language for processing large datasets on Hadoop, an entirely different meaning.
