High Availability Clusters are groups of interconnected servers configured so that if one node fails, another automatically takes over its workload, minimizing service disruption. They rely on heartbeat monitoring, shared storage, and failover software such as Pacemaker, Windows Server Failover Clustering, or Oracle RAC to detect outages and redirect traffic. Systems administrators and infrastructure engineers use them to keep critical databases, websites, and applications running continuously.
