CSS Images

Web Development

CSS Images refers to the set of CSS properties and functions—such as background-image, object-fit, and gradients—used to display, size, and position images and generated graphics within a webpage's styling rather than through HTML markup. Front-end developers use these techniques for decorative backgrounds, responsive image scaling, and effects like linear or radial gradients. This is distinct from the HTML <img> tag, which embeds images as page content.
