Blue Team Defensive Security
Cybersecurity
Blue team defensive security refers to the cybersecurity discipline of defending an organization's networks and systems against attacks, as opposed to 'red team' offensive/penetration testing. Blue team professionals monitor for intrusions, respond to incidents, harden systems, and analyze threats using tools like SIEMs, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms. It is a core skill set for security operations center (SOC) analysts and incident responders.
