Bağlama
Music and Audio Production
The bağlama, also known as the saz, is a long-necked stringed instrument central to Turkish and broader Anatolian folk music, played by plucking or strumming with a plectrum. It is used to accompany folk songs and epic storytelling traditions (such as those of Alevi bards called aşıks) and is prized for its distinctive buzzing, resonant timbre.
