Veritas Technologies is an American data management company that provides enterprise data backup, storage management, and data protection software, including NetBackup and Backup Exec. It traces its roots to Tolerant Systems (1983), later became Veritas Software, merged with Symantec in 2004, and re-emerged as an independent company in 2016 before being majority acquired by Cohesity in 2024.
