The Original Pancake House is a chain of breakfast restaurants founded in 1953 in Portland, Oregon by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. Known for signature dishes like the Apple Pancake and Dutch Baby, it operates over 100 franchised locations across roughly 29 U.S. states as well as in Canada, Japan, and South Korea. The chain received a James Beard Foundation "America's Classics" award in 1999.
