What we do
Stillwater Mining Company is the only palladium and platinum producer in the United States, mining the J-M Reef in Montana's Stillwater Complex via the Stillwater and East Boulder mines and operating a smelter/refinery at Columbus, Montana. It was acquired by South Africa's Sibanye Gold in 2017, which then began trading as Sibanye-Stillwater, and it continues to operate as a U.S. subsidiary of that company.
