What we do
Steelcase Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells office and residential furniture, along with architectural and workplace technology solutions for corporate, education, healthcare, and retail environments. Founded in 1912 as the Metal Office Furniture Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan, it grew into one of the world's largest office furniture makers. In 2025 Steelcase was acquired by rival HNI Corporation for approximately $2.2 billion, with the deal closing in December 2025.
