What this role is

This role develops and maintains the six-degrees-of-freedom simulation software that guides Terran R rockets from launch through landing, integrating physics models and GNC algorithms. You'll work on trajectory analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop testing as part of a team building a commercial launch vehicle from the ground up.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency with C++ or Rust
  • Proficiency with Python or similar scripting language
  • Experience developing physics-based simulations of aerospace vehicles
  • Ability to work independently on end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to have

  • Launch vehicle or space systems design and analysis experience
  • Aerospace vehicle simulation experience with GNC algorithm integration or HITL testing
