Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life or child development-related field
  • Completed approved Child Life internship of at least 600 hours directed by a Certified Child Life Specialist
  • Child Life Certification (CCLS) through Child Life Council within one year of appointment
  • Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross within one year of hire
  • Ability to float between multiple facilities

Nice to have

  • Two years and 4,000 hours of professional Child Life clinical experience in a hospital setting
