What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or four years of network engineering experience
- Seven years of experience establishing LANs and configuring network services
- Seven years of experience assembling and configuring equipment racks with RAIDs, switches, and Linux hosts, plus fiber optic and copper cabling installation
- Seven years of Linux system administration experience including PXE server installation, RPM production, and Ubuntu/RedHat deployment
- Large-scale system administration experience for geographically distributed systems (>100 nodes)
- Programming experience in C and/or C++
- Demonstrated Linux kernel reconfiguration and recompilation experience
- Demonstrated GUI development experience
- At least two of: CCNP, RHCE, CWNA, CCIE, or MCSE
- DoD 8570 compliance and operating system certification
- U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) for ITAR compliance
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-vendor complex network infrastructures involving physical and virtual components
- Strong background in Linux-based system and network administration in operational environments
- Experience integrating emerging technologies into existing network architectures and advanced prototypes
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission partners
