- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Production backend systems ownership
- Strong programming in Go, Java, or Rust
- Active use of AI in engineering work with sound judgment
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (caching, concurrency, failure modes, reliability)

- Ability to reason clearly about code, architecture, and system behavior
